ARE CERTAIN DAYS BETTER THAN OTHERS TO RIDE?
Yes, Monday thru Thursday the waterway is nice and peaceful as everyone is at work and you only have to deal with a boat here and there, Fridays- you have to deal with locals that did not go to work meaning there is a little boat traffic but not bad at all. Saturdays and Sundays are a different animal. The mornings are not bad but as each progresses throughout the day you have to deal with more and more boats. That’s why we try to leave by 3/4 pm on weekends because safety is one of our main priorities, after 3pm it’s crazy on the water and a lot of the boats are drunk which is unsafe for you.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CALLING 1-3 DAYS IN ADVANCE SOMETIMES 5 DAYS TO MAKE A RESERVATION?
It will guaranteed you a spot (as 80 percent of our rentals are repeats and they all know to call in advance) also the tide changes from week to week! When you call in advance, we can let you know when high tide is, which is the best time to go as there is more water in the waterway! When you call the same day, typically all the high tide spots are taken and you will have to go at low tide. Low tide is still fun and safe so don’t let that discourage you but when you ride at higher tide its definitely better. You don’t have to worry about running a ground, hurting yourself and/or damaging the jet ski. Stay within the Chanel markers and you will have no problems during low tide.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
We will call you an ahead of your reservation to push you back or reschedule you. If you can’t do either , we will certainly refund all of your money. Typically the winds off the ocean keeps the rain inland. It rains in Wilmington all the time but very rarely on the island .
WHAT TYPE OF JET SKIS DO WE RENT?
All the jet skis are new Yamaha vx 1100s. They are always new as we sell them every 2 years and buy the newer version of this model. No one should ever spend this type of money and ride jet skis that are old and beat up. We guarantee our skis are the newest on island by years and if they are not, you ride for free .
DO WE HAVE TO PAY TO PARK?
Absolutely NOT, we provide you free parking saving you money for other activities on your agenda!
